The view from Roos! This was last night. The weather wasnt at its best with rather high and cold winds (not the camping weather weve become accustomed to in recent weeks) and the sunset was a bit meh but the sky was sufficiently moody and dramatic with beautiful God rays breaking through the heavy clouds and casting aside the shadows on the hills. A true spectacle to behold. To make the evening even more pleasant I got to enjoy the company of some other folks including @lntkernow and @marcjeffreypresents_ and I am very grateful for the invitation to join them on one of my favourite Dartmoor Tors. Devil's Night Wild Camp at Crowdy Reservoir on Bodmin Moor

Original plans for a halloween camp on Dartmoor with another YouTuber, West Country Wild Camping (Ash) fell through due to last minute complications on my part (sorry Ash). Modifying the OEX Phoxx II for and all-in-one pitch

Changing the Phoxx series of tents from OEX to make them pitched inner and outer at the same time is easy. It only takes a few minutes of effort, two lengths of cord, a stick and a peg. It's so simple, it's unbelievable. This is the reason I made a video about it. To show how easy it is to remove a lot of campers’ biggest issue with this tent and thus making it a lot more useful and useable. I had a great time making this video. While playing with angels and shots, trying to get the best lighting. I enjoy making these videos. They are giving me the chance to learn more about filming than I would on the moors. I don't always have the time to spare. Whenever I can, I should learn more about my filming. It makes it far easier in the editing process and if you know me at all; you know I hate editing! Failed Camp at Cox Tor and the Importance of Coffee when Wild Camping

This camping excursion did not start well. The weather on this particular Sunday afternoon was pretty bleak, wet and windy. Having checked the forecast I knew I wanted to arrive on Dartmoor late in the day to avoid the worst of the weather so Dave and I left home hoping to arrive on the moors around 4pm, which should have given us enough time to climb Cox Tor, visit the trig point, take some photo's and video and get pitched up before sunset. During the drive up I started to get a bit of a headache, but I wasn't too worried as I knew that once my tent was up I could just chill out for the rest of the night. Once I had the car parked near Cox Tor I got my kit strapped to my back and Dave and I set off. It was then that I realised the headache was far worse, with pain behind my eyes and in the back of my neck, I was concerned I might be getting a migraine, my first in over 2 years.
